Farmer's Market

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Elizabeth met up with Andy and me at the Midtown Farmer's Market.

All this fun makes a kid tired!

Monica Pope is the owner of the restaurant T'afia, and she has a free cooking class on Saturday mornings during the Farmer's Market. We tried a coconut-something gazpacho and turnips with hirisa (not sure if I'm spelling that correctly). They have great iced mochas that will send you into a diabetic coma, and a local bakery sells incredible croissants.

Trying to figure this out

So, I'm still trying to get the hang of this whole blogging thing . . . not sure if this is going to be a Shannon thing or not, but I really want to remember things about Andy, so this is my motivation. He's 3 months old now and HUGE! He just recently started hanging out in the jumper that my mom's wonderful neighbor, Christine, gave to us. We have to put a book underneath because his feet don't quite touch the ground, and I'm not sure if he's figured out that it's HIS legs that make him go up and down. But he's really cute in it at any rate.
We watched the Super Bowl with Andrew's parents, and it was a lot of fun. We weren't about to order a pizza and wait 3 hours that night, so we got frozen pizzas from Randall's and had a blast. Andrew's parents lived in New Orleans for awhile, so we rooted for the Saints.
